I talked to Jeff Friday here are the practices times for the “old drill tream” the Ruritain Club has us on their calander for the use of Waddy Arena:

Friday September 12 7:00 PM
Saturday September 13 Mt Eden Performance
The practice schedule is to get ready for the September performance in Waddy (so dig out your red, white and blue shirts) the team will be doing the drill from states, Jeff would like for you not to change horses if possible, this is a continuation of the 2007-2008 season. The new team will start in September and a practice schedule will be determined after a parents meeting. If you were on the team last year and will not be available for the 5 dates to finish the season please let me know ASAP. If you were not on the team last year but would be willing to fill in for those 5 dates please let me know. For riders who want to see what it’s all about and aren’t sure if they want to commit for the whole year this is a good opportunity to “try it out”. Riders who rode at states will be selected first for the above 5 dates, if you were on the injured list last year but on the team (Emily & Kristen), and alternates you will have next priority.
Also, for next years team, separate from the above let me know if you were on the team and will not be riding next year, or if you were an alternate or not on the team and would like to be on the team let me know as well. Jeff is trying to get an idea how many will be participating next year. Keep in mind we will also have an active endurance team (they should not conflict with Drill team), and a Horse Bowl team for the 2008-2009 season.
Remember to check out the website for nominations, there is still time to submit nominations, also if your child was nominated for an office and they want to decline the nomination let me know. There are also photo’s posted of states, if anyone has any to add send them to me and Christine will get them posted for you. If you had hard copy photo’s that are not up yet the McCarthy’s had a scanner issue they are working on so be patient.

1) Drill Team Practice: Reminder tonight (Tuesday) at 7 PM and Thursday at 7 PM at the Waddy arena.
2) Drill Team States:
* Tuesday (July 1st) Practice at Broadbent arena 1 run (15 minutes) our time slot is 9:15 PM, we will have dinner at our barn around 7 PM
* Wednesday (July 2nd) Practice barn arena 2 runs (30 min) our time slot is 3 PM
* Wednesday (July 2nd) small teams start at 7 PM, (there are 8 teams) at the end of their performance the opening ceremonies will be done; the small teams will come out to be awarded their ribbons. They are excused at that time to untack and change. Then the large teams start, there are 5 this year. We won’t know what number we are until Tuesday when Jeff returns from the coaches meeting.
* Remember you will be judged on horsemanship and sportsmanship during practices.

T-Shirts: Any member who did not get a drill team shirt, you will be ordered one Horse-N-Around T-shirt that the club will pay for. I need to know what size you want. If you would like to purchase either a Horse-N-Around OR Rhythm Riders T-Shirt as an extra, for your parents, siblings, or to give out for Christmas presents. The prices are:
Youth S, M, L $8.50
Adult S, M, L, XL $8.50
Adult XXL and XXXL $10.50
These prices are lower than our last order we are assuming because the season is almost over. We are going to place the order Tuesday when Yvette gets back so if you want either T-Shirt let me know, also get me your sizes for the free shirts.

Drill team practice will be 7 PM in Waddy tomorrow night. If you have t-shirt money to turn in I can take it Friday at Drill Team. If you will not be able to make it please contact Mike 502-529-6239 or Jeff 941-526-9754, I believe Yvette will be out of town. I realize this is Memorial Day weekend but we scheduled practice anyway because there is NO DRILL TEAM PRACTICE next week because of Districts and graduations. Congratulations to our Seniors!!!!!

REMINDER:
4-H Meeting tomorrow night at 7:00-9:00 PM, we will have a presentation from Purina about horse nutrition and a meeting. Just a few bits of information:
I will be taking orders for shirts tomorrow prices are $8.00 to $12.00 if parents want one or if anyone wants an extra.
Anyone who has not turned in Coggins, or Health Certs please bring those in.
I will have District schedules printed out for districts.
Anyone who has anything they are not using to donate to one of our kids that would help him have the proper equipment to go to districts it would be appreciated. We already have a bucket tie, and hay net, other suggestions are brushes, sheen, shampoo, hoof pick, ect.
We will be sending in registration for Drill team this week and I need a few more parents signatures.
If anyone has anything that needs to be on the agenda or discussed at the meeting let me know by noon tomorrow.
